Energy Institute

The Energy Institute (EI) at Mississippi State University is comprised of three research organizations: The Institute for Clean Energy Technology (ICET), the Micro-Cooling Heating and Power (CHP) group, and the Sustainable Energy Research Center (SERC). The EI works to develop new technologies to promote energy efficiency through combined heating and power concepts and energy audits, as well as developing technology to generate renewable transportation and heating fuel from biomass. Additionally, the EI and its industry partners are working together to support national nuclear waste remediation efforts and the sequestration of carbon from electrical generation.
